Three years ago, Danilo joined FCB as Global Creative Partner, teaming up with Susan Credle, FCB Global Chair and IPG Creative Partner. He now works alongside FCB’s newly appointed Global CCO, Andrés Ordóñez to evolve FCB’s creative vision. Together, they keep the network’s global creative teamsconnected and push one another to redefine how the agency solves problems and unlocks opportunities for its clients.
During his time at FCB, Danilo has met a lot of nice and talented people and partnered up with them to help the network land on Ad Age’s coveted A-List, was named Cannes Lions #1 North America Network of the Year three years in a row, was ranked Global Network of the Year and Global Agency of the Year (FCB New York) in The One Club for Creativity’s 2023 Global Creative Rankings, One Show Network of the Year 2024 and ADC Network of the Year 2024, along with many other accolades. Danilo has also helped guide some of the agency’s best work for its biggest clients, including Michelob Ultra, Spotify, Virgin, LinkedIn, Adidas and more.
These three years were also marked by several wins in the world of sports advertising with back-to-back Emmy wins starting with “Mcenroe vs Mcenroe” in 2023, and then “Dreamcaster the following year. In addition to this accomplishment, FCB received a Cannes Entertainment Lions for Sport Grand Prix for Michelob Ultra, Direct Grand Prix for Adidas, back-to-back Clio Sports Agency of the Year, and the “Dreamcaster” sports documentary making into the theaters. In addition, FCB had success this past year in both Direct and Digital Craft under his advisory with a Grand Prix and Gold in Direct for Spotify’s “Spreadbeats” and two Gold’s in Digital Craft for “Spreadbeats” and “Lap of Legends”. Throughout his career Danilo has had the honor of judging a plethora of industry awards shows across the globe though, he is most proud of his judging involvement this past year where not only was he a judge on the highly esteemed Titanium Lion Jury, but he was also named an Inaugural Jury President at The One Show for the Experiential & Immersive + Integrated / Omnichannel category.
Prior to joining FCB, Danilo was the CCO at Ogilvy New York, where he led the agency’s 100-plus-member creative team on famous work for clients such as Dove, IBM, Ikea, Nationwide, Samsung and others, while helping win new accounts including Absolut, Zippo and Hyatt.Previously, Danilo worked for 11 years at BBDO NY. There, he created award-winning work for brands like Guinness, FedEx, Snickers, Starbucks, AT&T, HBO and many more. During those years, he was fortunate enough to be included in pretty much every “number under number” list you can find on the internet and ended up being named BBO NY’s first-ever Head of Art & Design. He later became an Executive Creative Director, leading clients such as Bacardi, GE, Foot Locker and Macy’s for six years. A native of Brazil, Danilo started his advertising journey in 2003 at AlmapBBDO working under ad legend Marcello Serpa. For seven years, he helped turn Havaianas from a local flip-flop brand into a true globalicon, ultimately winning several Lions for that brand, as well as for Volkswagen, Pepsi, Getty images and many others. During his last year in that office, Danilo won a Grand Prix Lion for Billboard Magazine.
On a totally not-professional-but-way-more-fun note, Danilo is married to Stephanie and has three little girls whom he loves so much: Sabine, Colette and Vivien. The five of them have a happy life in New York City as well as at their country home in Connecticut, where you can catch them constantly playing silly songs on the piano, painting in their studio and planting flowers.
