Andrés is a proven creative leader with over 20 years of experience helping successful brands craft their narrative. He is currently Chief Creative Officer at FCB Chicago working closely with Susan Credle and is part of FCB’s Global Creative Council.
Throughout his career, Andrés has received top industry accolades, including 8 ANDYs, 18 D&ADs (1 Black), 131 Cannes Lions (2 Titanium, 3 GP), 88 One Show Pencils, 35 ADCs, 43 Clios, 19 LIAs and 20 Effies, not to mention the New York Festivals and WARC. Andrés took the stage at the 2016 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity to talk about the importance of craft and entertainment value in creating brand narratives that break through the clutter. He has served as a judge on international awards shows including The One Show, Clio and Clio Health, New York Festivals, Lisbon Advertising Festival, NA Effie Awards, the Radio Mercury Awards, Ciclope, ADDYs and El Ojo de Iberoamérica.
2018: The Drum ranked Andrés the 17th most awarded CCO in the world for his work at Energy BBDO, which was recognized as the 15th most awarded agency.
2019: Andrés joined FCB and was named one of Adweek’s Top 100 most creative minds in marketing, media, tech and culture.
2020: Andrés was named to Campaign US’s 40 Over 40, which honors senior talent that have shown innovation and leadership across all areas of marketing, advertising and communications. Also, FCB Chicago was recognized as #5 best U.S. Creative agency and #14 worldwide, according to The Drum Report.
2021: Andrés was ranked #2 CCO in North America and #3 Globally by The One Show. In that same year, FCB Chicago was named #1 Creative Agency in North America, #3 globally and Reach Track Agency at Cannes.
2022: Chicago FCB creative works, including “Unbox Me,” “Bedtime Stories,” “Chatpat,” “The Nominate Me Selfie” and the Grand Prix winner “Contract for Change,” contributed to the agency being named Regional Network of the Year for North America for the 4th consecutive year, as well for FCB to claim #2 Global Network of the Year at Cannes. FCB also earned the Regional Network of the Year for North America recognition at LIA, where FCB Chicago’s “Bedtime Stories” for Walmart won the Grand LIA in Radio & Audio. Additionally, The One Club for Creativity ranked Andrés #5 CCO in North America and #11 globally.
2023: According to The Drum’s rankings, Andrés was named the #12 best CCO in the world. FCB Chicago was also recognized, ranking #21 on the list. In addition, “Chatpat,” “The Nominate Me Selfie” and “Bedtime Stories” were named among the 100 most awarded ads globally.
