Ana is a journalist who creates for brands[MD1] . As a reporter who also doubles as a Creative Director, she tackles each brief like it’s a juicy cover story — an opportunity to delve deep and emerge with ideas that are culturally and socially meaningful. Her work with brands such as HBO, TikTok, Whirlpool and Kimberly-Clark has earned her D&AD Pencils, Effies, Clios, Cannes Lions and a spontaneous 😻 comment from Cyndi Lauper on a lyric she wrote for a campaign (“Thumbs Just Wanna Have Fun” was a true hit). This also led her to serve on juries like the Cannes Lions and One Show’s Next Creative Leader.
Before all that, she lived in Asia for two years, which explains why she speaks some Mandarin. She also authored cover stories for the biggest science magazine in Brazil and worked as a cook at a Michelin-starred restaurant. There, she gleaned wild teamwork strategies and, pardon the pun, learned to handle any pickle. She also plays the xequerê [MD2] at São Paulo’s street carnival and sometimes feels like the wasabi baby — she’s not sure if she wants to try it, but she does it anyway and ends up asking for help.
